Privacy Policy

SpinBook

This Privacy Policy explains how luka4 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the SpinBook mobile application (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What the App does

SpinBook helps you log table-tennis gear (rubbers, rackets) and activities (training and matches). Depending on how you use the App, data may stay only on your device or may be synced to our online service when you create an account.


2. Information we process

If you use the App without signing in We do not require an account for basic local use. Your diary and inventory data are stored on your device. We do not receive that information unless you later sign in and choose to sync.

If you create an account (e.g. sign in with email) To provide an account and sync, we process:

  • Account details: such as email address and login credentials (handled securely by our authentication provider).
  • Profile you choose to provide: for example display name, username, hand preference, typical rubber types, and similar profile fields you enter in the App.
  • App content you sync: items you choose to store in the cloud, such as rubbers, rackets, players or contacts in your diary, match and training entries, scores, dates, and related notes or labels you add.
  • Social / friends features: if you use friend connections, invites, inbox, or sharing sessions with friends, we process the data needed for those features (for example friend relationships, pending requests, and shared session offers or imports between accounts).

We do not use this information for advertising and we do not sell your personal information.


3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate the App and your account
  • Sync your data across your devices when you are signed in
  • Provide social features you choose to use (friends, invites, shared activities)
  • Keep the service secure and fix problems
  • Respond to you if you contact us

We do not use your data for targeted ads in the App.


4. Where data is stored & service providers

When you sign in and sync, your data is stored on secure servers operated for us by a trusted infrastructure provider (cloud hosting and database). That provider processes data only on our instructions, to run the App—we do not allow them to use your personal data for their own marketing.

Data may be processed in countries where that provider operates facilities, subject to appropriate safeguards as required by law.


5. Sharing with others

  • Other users: Only what the App is designed to show is visible to others—for example profile fields needed for friends and usernames, or session details you explicitly share or import with a friend through the App’s features. We do not make your full diary public.
  • Legal & safety: We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will require the new owner to honor this Policy or notify you of changes.

We do not sell your personal information.


6. Analytics, ads, and tracking

The App is not an ad-supported product. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not use analytics services that track you across other apps or websites for marketing. We may use limited technical logs on our servers (for example security or error diagnostics) in a way that does not identify you for marketing.


7. Optional sharing from your device

Features such as sharing a text summary of your setup use your device’s built-in share sheet. We do not control which app you send that text to or who receives it; that is your choice on your device.


8. Retention & your choices

  • While your account exists: we keep your account and synced data so the App works as intended.
  • Deletion: you can use in-App account deletion (where available) to remove your cloud account and associated data, subject to short backup or legal retention periods if required.
  • Local data: uninstalling the App or clearing app data on your device removes local copies on that device; cloud data remains until you delete your account or we delete it in line with this Policy.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (including encryption in transit) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we strive to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.


10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.


11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the email below and we will respond in line with applicable law.


12. Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, privacy rules such as the GDPR and UK GDPR give you extra protections. In plain terms:

  • We process your personal data to perform our agreement with you (running your account, sync, and the friend features you use). Sometimes we rely on legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights—for example keeping accounts secure and fixing abuse. Where the law requires consent (for certain optional processing), we will ask for it separately; you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
  • You may ask what we hold, correct mistakes, request deletion, limit how we use your data in some cases, object to certain processing, and receive a copy of data you provided (portability), where applicable.
  • You may complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the ICO (ico.org.uk). We still encourage you to contact us first so we can help.
  • If personal data is sent to countries outside the EEA/UK, we use safeguards recognised under applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or UK authorities), where required.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are material, we may notify you in the App or by email where appropriate.
